Training overview
“The real preparation for education is the preparation of oneself” –Dr Montessori.
At the Indaba Institute, we believe teachers are instrumental in achieving quality education for all and offer courses that empower individuals to become guides for the children they serve. All courses are based on the premise that children have an innate ability to learn and that when supported by an appropriate environment and educator, they are guided through their developmental needs to reach their full potential. On completion of an II course, teachers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to lead a classroom of 30-35 children and apply their understanding of human development to advocate for the rights of the child, drive conversations for better maternal health, empower caregivers and their communities and more.
