Learn to use Montessori materials and give Montessori lessons for 6 through 12-year-olds

Gain the confidence and expertise needed to direct your own Elementary (6-12) Montessori classroom

Application Requirements

South African students: NQF Level 4 or equivalent
International students: A-Level or equivalent
Successful interview with Indaba Institute and Director of Training
Proficient in spoken and written English
AMI Primary (3-6) Diploma OR attendance on the AMI Foundation Course, which is a 5-week full-time preparatory course run prior to the start of the AMI Elementary (6-12) Diploma course

Course Format
This course is offered in modular format and takes place over a period of approximately 18 weeks over the period of 12-18 months. Course includes lectures, practice with materials, creation of child-centred materials, observations, and reading and discussions.
